Kirsten is a Danish politician with a passion for climate, health and equality issues. Following her year as an Obama Foundation Scholar at Columbia University, Kirsten founded 2030beyond, a non-profit ‘do-tank’ working to make the Sustainable Development Goals a reality. She recently joined the Lancet COVID-19 Commission to help find global, equitable and lasting solutions to the pandemic. As a former minister of the environment, she was at the forefront of sustainable solutions and boosted her country’s industrial growth. Kirsten also co-founded the Bilateral Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, a multi-party initiative to promote sexual and reproductive health and rights.
