The impact of the Russia-Ukraine War on women and girls

About

We cannot normalise this war. This #CriticalThinkingLive conversation provides a frontline view of the impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine from the perspective of a UN agency that provides support to women and girls who are in need of reproductive healthcare or are affected by sexual and gender-based violence.

In conversation with Friends of Europe’s Dharmendra Kanani and Jaime Nadal, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative to Ukraine, we bring attention to the plight of women and girls in a war context. The discussion explores how the UN agency works to achieve its mandate and the lessons that should be applied when rapidly adapting and maintaining services in a war zone.

#CriticalThinkingLive is the latest expansion in our #CriticalThinking family, bringing influential voices from across a range of sectors to challenge, inspire and influence current thinking on the biggest issues facing Europe and the world.

This event is available to a wider audience via livestream. Follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook, and join the #CriticalThinkingLive discussion!
