About
Taking to digital diplomacy on 26 May, Japanese and European leaders used the opportunity to reaffirm their conviction that global solidarity and a commitment to multilateralism will be necessary to overcome the challenges posed by COVID-19. As both the EU and Japan begin to set out their post-COVID recovery strategies, they will also seek to keep the green and digital transitions at the heart of all they do. This Strategic Conversation with Kazuo Kodama, Japanese Ambassador to the EU, will reflect on the outcomes of the recent Japan-EU Leaders’ meeting, as well as the future of relations in the age of the ‘coronavirus’.
This new Strategic Conversations series invites key policymakers to share their views on a range of important and strategically relevant issues through interviews with senior thinkers on the Friends of Europe team.
