Contacto | António Costa is looking for a house in Brussels

Media Coverage

Dharmendra Kanani, spokesperson for the influential non-governmental organisation Friends of Europe, responded to Contacto and considered that “Costa’s proposal for the highest position in the Council is not a good one”. “This is a prime minister who resigned very quickly following allegations of corruption that suggest both guilt and the need to avoid tarnishing the high position he held”, said the person responsible for communications at this independent organisation for the promotion of European values. Friends of Europe’s board of directors includes former European commissioners (from various political persuasions), government leaders, politicians and prominent academics. Among the directors are many well-known names such as Xavier Bettel, and the Portuguese António Vitorino, Carlos Moedas and Ana Gomes.
