Friends of Europe’s European Young Leaders programme (EYL40) is the only cross-sector, cross-party and truly pan-European programme for established talent from almost 30 European countries.
Through the European Young Leaders (EYL40) programme, we bring together trailblazing biochemists, budding political leaders, entrepreneurs, NGO ‘stars’ and others who are shaping the social and environmental policies of tomorrow. The programme helps established Young Leaders aged 40 and under to develop their experiences and networks and craft innovative responses to European challenges.
In September, the European Young Leaders will be joined by young leaders from North America and the Middle East and North Africa. In the Estonian capital, Tallinn, they will hold a global conversation on how people, politics and power interact in the 21st century – working together in troubled times to reinforce multilateral relations and address some of the world’s biggest problems.
But what do the Young Leaders themselves think of the programme and its benefits? Listen and find out!
Jamila Aanzi, UN Women Representative 2017 from the Netherlands, values the diversity of the EYL40 Programme, which leads to creative discussions and solutions.
Alberto Alemanno, Jean Monnet Professor at HEC Paris, Founder of The Good Lobby and published author from Italy, feels that the EYL40 Programme gives an ideal environment to discuss topical European and global issues.
For Lindsey Nefesh-Clarke, social entrepreneur and Founder of Women’s Worldwide Web from the United Kingdom, the EYL40 Programme highlights the crucial role of the European Union.
Franco-German André Loesekrug-Pietri, Founder of ACAPITAL, reveals what he has learnt as a member of the EYL40 Programme. Follow the European Young Leaders Programme on Twitter and Facebook for more information and insight.
Led by Friends of Europe, each year the European Young Leaders (EYL40) programme brings together talented, established leaders, aged 40 and under, who have made their mark in a wide range of fields such as politics, science, business, media, NGOs, the arts and civil society. You can find more information about the programme in the EYL40 overview.
