Friends of Europe Does the EU prioritise war or the climate? – Voices for Choices local event 2025

About

DEO, Debating Europe and Horsens Municipal invite you behind the scenes at Forum Horsens as EU ministers negotiate this autumn. We’ll debate how the EU can keep up the momentum on the green transition amid mounting pressures from Ukraine’s war and the energy crisis. With sharp insights from environmental journalist Alexander Holm and DEO experts, this is your chance to contribute ideas and dilemmas. Outcomes from the evening will be shared with Danish MEPs.

This event is part of the project “Voices for Choices“, where 18–35-year-olds will be engaged in five EU countries to rethink Europe’s social contract. It explores themes of sustainability, economy, security, and democracy. In Denmark, 440 citizens will take part through surveys, focus groups, and citizen-led events. Friends of Europe manages the project and reporting, while DEO leads Danish activities. The project runs through 2025, with findings published in April and events held later in the year.

To ensure the findings receive the visibility and follow-up they deserve, we’re organising a series of local events in the five target countries bringing together citizens, policymakers and experts in interactive in-person discussions to unpack the issues identified in the report and propose potential solutions.

This event will take place at Forum Horsens, ATRIUM, Langmarksvej 53, 8700 Horsens . Follow us on X, LinkedIn or Instagram and join the #Voices4Choices conversation!
