Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders will today launch the fourth Security Jam. He will be joined by close to 50 VIPs and thousands of Jammers from over 110 countries for a four-day brainstorm on global security challenges.
The Jam has since 2010 leveraged the global brainpower of thousands of security, development and human rights experts to develop innovative solutions to make our world a safer place.
The Jam overcomes national, hierarchical and sectoral barriers, allowing direct exchange between a five-star general in Washington D.C. and a humanitarian worker in Sudan, a parliamentarian in London and a police officer in Kabul, a journalist in Cape Town and a border guard in Colombia, a student in Montreal and a cybersecurity expert in Mumbai.
This unique confrontation of views, moderated by senior think-tankers, will yield recommendations that will feed into the EU’s new Global Strategy and NATO’s upcoming Warsaw summit. The comprehensive report will be distributed globally for maximum impact.
