Zagreb-based Event Volunteer

Citizens' Europe

What do Dancer Marcelino Sambé, Matthew Caruana Galizia Paradise Papers Investigator, bestselling author Paolo Giordano, filmmaker and cinematographer Meeri Koutaniemi, emerging technologist Cristina Pozzi and Croatian Minister Marko Pavić all have in common? They’ll be in Zagreb from the 19th until the 21st of March 2020 to join us in our flagship European Young Leaders seminar, together with more than 40 other brilliant young minds from all over Europe!

To make sure this seminar runs as smoothly as possible, Friends of Europe is currently looking for four enthusiastic volunteers.

The European Young Leaders represent promising European leadership from all over the continent, with a wide variety of backgrounds including politics, business, civil society, academia, arts, science and the media. Every year, they meet for two three-day seminars in different European cities, joined by decision-makers, stakeholders and key European actors to discuss issues of common concern and develop concrete proposals and recommendations to tackle the challenges facing Europe and its citizens.

With the expansion of the EYL40 to include exceptional Young Leaders from Western Balkan states on the path towards EU integration, holding the seminar in Croatia will enable for a meaningful discussion on the changes the region has gone through in recent years.
