Day 2 of the 2016 Security Jam saw over 1,500 ideas posted, with Jammers beginning to zero in on concrete problems.
Embryonic recommendations started to emerge, among which:
Strengthen cooperation with NGOs to enhance governments and international organisations’ actions on piracy, organised crime and peace-keeping
- Involve local communities as actors rather than targets of public policies in fighting radicalisation
- Create a Climate Change Adaption Organisation in the Middle East to start building confidence in the region
- NGOs should approach policymakers as partners rather than critics to strengthen their message
- Update current methodologies to better leverage technologies for early-warning
You can build on these and many other suggestions today with the thousands of other online participants. Just LOG IN and put forth your perspectives, lessons learnt and best practices.
