Partners

Friends of Europe
has a strong track record of successful partnerships with a range of public and private organisations. These partnerships enable Friends of Europe to cement its pan-European standing and to achieve its aim of improving communication between the EU and its citizens.

Core partners

Friends of Europe co-publishes Europe’s World, the only independent pan-European policy journal with a readership of over 100,000 senior decision-makers and opinion-formers. Published every 4 months, Europe’s World’s purpose is to stimulate the much needed debate over topical policy issues by encouraging citizens and stakeholders within civil society, media, academia, business and government. To date over 800 authors, including Heads of State, corporate chiefs, top academics, leading NGO activists or policymakers, have contributed articles, firmly cementing Europe’s World’s reputation as a platform for new thinking and ground-breaking ideas.

In 2005 Friends of Europe and Europe’s World jointly launched Think Tank Europe, an extensive and rapidly growing network of 150+ think-tanks and universities across Europe and beyond. Members of Think Tank Europe act as multipliers by disseminating Europe’s World articles throughout their national networks, complementing the pan-European outreach achieved by Friends of Europe and Europe’s World. Think Tank Europe latest research is included in Europe's World online contributing to a better understanding of national or stakeholders' positions on a wide range of European political, economic and social issues.

Friends of Europe also works closely with its sister think-tank the Security & Defence Agenda (SDA), Brussels’ only think-tank specialised in this area. The SDA offers a neutral platform for debate and analysis of the major security and defence issues facing the EU and NATO.

Gallup is a full associate contents' partner of Friends of Europe. Gallup's reputation for delivering relevant, timely, and visionary research is the cornerstone of the organisation. Its 2,000 professionals in more than 40 offices around the world help leaders at every level of business, government and society improve organisational performance by understanding the voice of their constituencies.

EU40 seeks to gather those who are young, share a generation and are ambitious about politics. It addresses those who are already playing a leading role in politics and who are most likely to do so in the future. EU40 believes in an approach towards European politics that is not merely based on party politics or national issues.

Knowledge partners

Friends of Europe enjoys partnerships with a range of foundations, NGOs and universities, as well as public-sector institutions and agencies. These range from one-off partnerships for a single event or publication to strategic partnerships that span a year or more.

These partners bring their expertise and experience to Friends of Europe’s activities, ensuring that our debates and publications tackle the major issues that really matter to stakeholders.

Partners are invited to stakeholder meetings to brainstorm and identify the themes which should be addressed in the following year, giving partners input into the policy debate and the opportunity to signal their commitment to discussing Europe’s major issues.

Supporting partners

As a non-profit organisation, Friends of Europe relies on the financial support of its corporate partners. These benefit from visibility in the form of adverts in publications, logos on promotional documentation, and the opportunity to distribute their own literature. Partners also usually enjoy a speaking slot at the event itself.

Media partners
Friends of Europe enjoys a number of partnerships with leading European and international media organisations. These act as multipliers and help ensure that Friends of Europe’s activities receive maximum possible attention and that they reach beyond Brussels. The media are consistently invited and involved in our events, which ensures a greater outreach to EU citizens through enhanced coverage and reporting. We also facilitate contact between speakers and the media during our events with press points and interviews.
