Five reasons to become a member

Membership of Friends of Europe is a genuine opportunity to become a major player in European affairs. Here are five reasons to become a member of Friends of Europe:

1. Enhanced status in European affairs
Be sure of a seat at all our conferences, roundtables and other events and signal your commitment to the EU policy debate. Many of our members choose to become partners at our events, affording them a genuine opportunity to have a stake in the EU's future direction. By entering into partnership with Friends of Europe for our Café Crossfire debates, or for larger events such as the European Policy Summits, partners engage in lively debate on a given issue with minimum organisational effort.

2. Maximum visibility and input
Friends of Europe's membership packages offer high visibility and our channels of communication reach out across Europe to EU officials, the media, national governments, business organisations and civil society. Our aim is to establish open dialogue between these groups and to cast our net outside the Brussels area. The national and international media are always present at our events.

3. Unparalleled networking opportunities
Our events offer members the chance to meet senior stakeholders from the worlds of politics, business and civil society. We regularly welcome European Commissioners, Directors General, MEPs, national parliamentarians, business leaders, and representatives from NGOs as well as social partners. This is a chance to meet not only the “usual Brussels crowd” but also representatives based in EU member states. Between 30 and 50% of the participants at Friends of Europe international events come from abroad.

4. Access to latest policy information
Stay informed on the full range of EU policies thanks to our frequent publications. Members gain access to regular information on a wide range of EU policy developments via our events and follow-up publications. Our debate formats encourage frank and candid discussion allowing participants to tap the prevailing mood on a particular topic as well gain insider opinion on upcoming policy initiatives.

5. An affordable way to get involved
Because membership is organisation-based, these offers can be enjoyed by all the members of your company, association or diplomatic representation.
