Friends of Europe's President's Dinner hosted by our President Viscount Etienne Davignon lived up to its reputation as intellectually stimulating and entertaining with speakers such as Polish Finance Minister Jacek Rostowski, Executive Secretary General of the External Action Service Pierre Vimont and Dutch member of the European Parliament Esther de Lange prompting chuckles among participants for their insightful and humorous account of the ups and downs of their working lives. Dinner guests at the Brussels’ landmark event included Friends of Europe Trustees, EU Commissioners, Members of the European Parliament and other top officials from the EU institutions and European governments, ministers, representatives from business, NGOs and civil society, as well as the international press.

The dinner was organised in partnership with Poland’s EU Presidency and NYSE Euronext with the support of GDF Suez, the Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) and Toyota.
