The confusion and uncertainty that has summoned Europe’s shifting policies on genetically modified organisms (GMO’s) has been bad for business on both sides of the Atlantic and has exacerbated trade tensions. Labelling and traceability questions continue to frustrate hopes of a clear EU-wide position.
